Frequently Asked Questions

What is Title-24?

California has Residential and NonResidential Building Energy Standards that are
commonly referred to Title-24 Energy Standards.  Before a city or county can issue a
building permit for a new home, office, commercial building, addition to a home or
office, or the remodel of any of these, energy compliance calculations must be performed.
These calculations determine the energy conservation features that must be included in
the project for it to comply with the state energy standards.

Douglas Beaman Associates has over 20 years of experience performing these calculations.
We have always kept one objective foremost: lowest upfront cost for the builder/owner while
ensuring that the project complies with the state standards and results in an energy efficient
building.
